Pietro Bazzanti (Italian, 1842-1881) marble portrait bust of Diana after the Diana of Versailles full figure statue, originally executed in 100 BCE, now in the Louvre, mounted on a circular plinth base. Signed “P Bazzanti Florence” to reverse. 24 1/2 in. H x 18 in. W x 9 1/2 in. D. 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of George Bradley, Lewisburg, TN.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition, with a few minor scattered fleabites including to right arm, small scattered dark spots and scratches.
