Cowden and Wilcox, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania stamped and cobalt decorated stoneware pottery jar with cobalt horse head design, cobalt accents on the lug handle terminals, and a cobalt 3 denoting capacity. 12" H. Late 19th century. CONDITION: Two hairlines including a 7 1/4" crack emanating from mid- body to the base and continuing on the bottom, and a 4 1/2" x 3" X -shaped hairline to the left of the horse.
