3 coin silver cups or mugs. 1st item: Large octagonal mug with repousse fruit and floral designs and central cartouche engraved "To My Namesake Eliza Clark," marked on underside F.H. Clark & Co / Memphis in separate rectangles (Frederick Harvey Clark, working Memphis circa 1850-d. 1866 as F.H. Clark & Co.), 3-1/2"H. 2nd item: Small cup, likely a child's cup, with wide band of applied floral relief decoration, monogrammed L.F., marked F.H. Clark in rectangle. 2"H. 3rd item: Cup of tapered cylindrical form with engine turned design to body, Rococo style handle, front cartouche inscribed "N.P. McLemore to M.E. Thrift." Marked on underside Merriman in rectangle (attrib. James E. Merriman, working Memphis 1841-47 with Frederick H. Clark and from 1847-1860 and later on his own and in partnership with others), along with a horse head pseudohallmark attrib. James Watts, Philadelphia. 3"H. 9.08 oz troy combined weight. 3"H. Provenance: the collection of John Montague, Memphis, Tenn. Condition: 2nd cup has repaired 1/4" tear at rim and significant denting to upper and lower edge. Other cups in overall excellent condition with minor dents and light scratching.
