From the edition of 368 published in 1948 by Teriade, Paris, and printed by Louis Fort, Paris. Ref.: Cramer 17. Sight: 12 1/2 in. H x 10 in. W. Framed: 26 1/4 in. H x 23 3/4 in. W.1923-48. Note: First etched in 1923, this print was published in Les Ames Mortes in 1948. Item 2: Color lithograph on wove paper from Dessins pour la Bible (Drawings for the Bible), “Assuerus Chasse Vasthi” (Assuerus Banishes Vasthi), 1960. Published by Editions de la Revue Verve, Teriade, Paris, and printed by Mourlot, Paris. Ref.: M.251, Cramer 42. Sheet: 13 3/4 in. H x 10 1/8 in. W. Framed: 27 in. H x 23 1/4 in. W. Both housed in giltwood frames with cream textile mats and gilt fillets.
PROVENANCE: Private Knoxville collection.
CONDITION: Both strong impressions in very good condition. Not examined out of frames.
