Four (4) Antique Tribal bags and weave trappings. 1st item: Antique Tekke Turkman flat weave trapping with all-over geometric designs on a red field within three primary borders, retains the original fringe. 3 ft. 9 in. x 1 ft. 4 in. Circa 1860s. 2nd item: Kurdish tribal bag face with all-over geometric designs. Woven in colors of red, blue, brown, salmon, and cream. 2 ft. x 2 ft. Circa 1900. 3rd item: Tribal Fat Weave bag facing, striped design woven in colors of brick red, blue, brown, and cream. 1 ft. 2 in. x 1 ft. 1 in. Circa 1875. 4th item: Antique Turkmen Yomud or Yomut complete tent bag, unstitched, wool on wool. Face with three rows and three guls and medallion designs. Woven in brick red, blue, and cream colors. 6ft. 5in. x 5ft. 4in. Circa 1870s.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: 1st item: Overall very good condition, with minor wear to the upper back face corners, and one approx 1/2 inch hole to the back. minor scattered stains. 2nd item: Overall good condition. 3rd item: Overall good condition with some fraying to ends. 4th item: Overall good condition with minor wear.
