1st item: Antique Tekke Turkmen Chuval, wool on wool. Central dark red field with three rows of three guls, and a wide lower stylized ensi border. Woven in dark red, blue, and cream colors. 4 ft. 8 in. x 2 ft. 6 in. Circa 1880s. 2nd item: Antique Yomud Asmalayk, wool on wool, with all-over floral design. Woven in colors of dark red, blue, and cream. 4 ft. 5 in. x 2 ft. 6 in.. Last Qtr. 19th century.
PROVENANCE: SPrivate Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: 1st item: Overall good condition with a couple of areas of abrash wear to borders. 2nd item: Some color bleed, light pile wear, losses to lower margin with reinforced lower edge. One 2 in. separation to the center and a couple of stitched repairs.
