Antique Tekke Turkmen Chuval, wool on wool. Central dark red field with two rows of three guls, and a wide lower stylized flower ensi border. Woven in dark red, blue, and cream colors. 4 feet 2 inches x 2 feet 7 inches, Circa 1875-1900.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: Overall good condition, light even pile wear, losses to border.
