Lot 1083: 3 Antique Turkman Tribal Chuvals, Incl. Tekke & Yomud

Three (3) antique Turkman tribal weavings, all wool on wool and woven in blue, red, and cream colors, with traditional gul designs to the center including: a Tekke Chuval 4 ft. 3 in. x 2 ft. 7 in., circa 1900; a Yomud Chuval, 4 ft. 2 in. x 2 ft. 6 in., circa 1890; and a Yomud Chuval, 4 ft. 3 in. x 2 ft. 11 in., circa 1890.

PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.

CONDITION: Tekke Chuval with loss to fringed ends, overall good condition. 1st Yomud Chuval with loss to fringe, moderate pile wear. 2nd Yomud Chuval in overall good condition with losses to fringe.
