English oak “shelf” or mantle clock by William Samuel (W. S.) Pond. Roman numerals on a metal dial, signed “W.S. Pond, 12 Owens Row, Clerkenwell.”  Interior review fusee movement with key.  Exterior has a hinged glass door on the front, hinged access doors on each side, and carved scroll and leaves above a molded base. 18 in. H x 24 in. W x 5 1/2 in. D. Circa late 19th/early 20th century.

PROVENANCE: The estate of Dr. Ian M. Mathison, Murfreesboro TN and Big Rapids, MI.

CONDITION: Case in overall good condition with some wear to face. Works not tested or guaranteed.
