19th C. Russian Icon, Christ Pantocrator, oil on wood panel with relief decorated silver oklad stamped for G. Sbitnev, Astrakhan, 1865, assayer mark attrib. Egor Blomberg, with mark for 875/1000 fineness. 10 1/2 in x 8 1/2 in.
PROVENANCE: The Entrekin Family Trust, estates of Jane and Ervin Entrekin, Nashville.
CONDITION: Overall good condition. Wear and some small dents. Halo appears to be original but has been reattached at some point. Some silver polish buildup on wood panel near edges of oklad.
