1st item: Roseville Pottery Company (Ohio, 1890-1954) glazed earthenware vase in Roseville's "Futura" line, designed about 1928. Geometric Art Deco form with square stepped top and square opening. Matte glaze in green, blue, and gray tones, with pale yellow base and interior. Unmarked. 6 1/8" H x 3" square. 2nd item: Fulper Pottery (American, 1909-1935) shallow pottery compote with four shaped feet in blue-green crystalline glaze with golden-edged rim. Ink-stamped vertical oval with "FULPER" inside on base. Comes with original box marked on lid "The Bailey, Banks & Biddle Co./ Philadelphia / Cherry Hill, N.J." 3 1/2" H x 7 1/2" dia.
PROVENANCE: Private Kentucky collection.
CONDITION: 1st item: 1/4" crack in glaze midway down one side of body near corner edge. Two small chips in glaze near base on different sides, measuring 1/4" and 1/16". Two chips on opposite corners of base. 2nd item: Small bubbble in glaze, from firing, on underside of compote.
