Victor Vasarely (Hungarian/French, 1908-1997) Modern Op art color screenprint titled "Olympia," the image used as the official emblem for the 1972 Summer Olympics games held in Munich (August 26 to September 11, 1972). The abstract design features a circle with swirling bars of blue, brown, and orange, against a black background. Signed "Vasarely-" lower right, additional publication information, below image, lower right. Ed. of 3000. Double matted in a gilt metal frame. Sight: 32 3/4" H x 28 3/4" W. Framed: 42 1/2" H x 37 1/4" W.
PROVENANCE: The Guardsmark Collection, Lipman Holdings International, Memphis, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with minor scattered abrasions, largest 1/4". Frame does not include glass. Not examined outside of frame.
