Eleven (11) Japanese watercolor and gouache fan paintings on washi paper with metallic highlights. 1st-4th items: Four (4) sensu form fan paintings, including one (1) bisected design depicting three vases with flowering branches and a well, signed with character mark, en verso; one (1) depicting a garden hoe, foliate forms, and insects, signed with character mark, en verso; one (1) bisected design of sea shells and a flowering branch, signed with character mark, en verso; one (1) depicting a teapot before an orange patterned box or platform and a flowering branch. 5th-10th items: Six (6) partial sensu form fan paintings, including one (1) depicting cranes in flight; one (1) depicting a bird perched upon a flowering branch; one (1) depicting three birds amid a flowering bush; one (1) depicting a red and gold sensu fan on a flowering branch; one (1) depicting a bird chasing a butterfly; and one (1) depicting iris flowers in a stream with birds in flight on a gilt background. 11th item: Uchiwa form fan painting depicting a hanging bamboo flowerpot with flowering branch and additional flowering branch below, signed with character mark, en verso. All unframed. All items ranging in size from 5 3/8" H x 12 1/4" W to 11 7/8" H x 19 3/4" W. Late 19th/early 20th century.

CONDITION: All items in overall good condition with scattered creasing and discoloration commensurate with age; minute scattered tearing to edges; some slight wear to metallic accents. Sensu form with seashells with tear to one paper rib. Minute puncture to partial sensu painting with birds amid bush.
