Jean Arnold (American/Utah, 20th/21st century) mixed media watercolor, gouache, pastel, and graphite painting on paper titled “View from Montecastello #30.” Depicts an arial view of farmland with red and white buildings, black treelines, and golden-brown fields. Signed and dated lower right, “J. Arnold, 1998.” Unframed in an archival paper sleeve. Sight: 42 in H x 60 1/2 in L. Sleeve: 42 1/2 in H x 61 in L.
PROVENANCE: Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts Foundation.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition, with several pinholes in each corner and a single pinhole at the top, bottom, and side centers, including a 1 inch patch to the lower right corner en verso. Smudging and fingerprints across top, sides and en verso. A 1/4 inch tear has been patched from the back, on the center left side. Paper is unevenly cut along both sides.
