Two Afghan rugs now fashioned as pillows including a Baluch pillow and Baluch Balisht pillow. Both with central off-white or light pink fields with stylized floral designs and woven backs. Woven in off-white, red, black, and white colors. Baluch pillow: 2 ft 1 in x 1 ft 3 in x 0 ft 5 in. Baluch Balisht pillow: 3 ft 1 in x 1 ft 4 in x 0 ft 5 in. Both late 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: Largest pillow with wear to corners, otherwise overall good condition. Smaller pillow overall good condition.
