Antique Turkmen Yomud or Yomut double saddle bag, wool on wool. Woven in traditional tribal designs in brick red or rust, cream, black, and blue colors, 3 ft 3 in x 1 ft 10 in. Late 19th century, circa 1890.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: Overall good condition. Wear to each end of the bags. Losses and fraying to cording along each margin.
