English Neoclassical Sterling Silver Teapot, oblong form with square handle and spout, horn or wood finial over hinged lid, the sides with engraved and bright cut floral band, cushion cartouche with engraved monogram on one side. Lid and underside hallmarked for 1809-1810, London, Duncan Urquhart and Naphtali Hart. 6 1/2" H x 11" W x 5" D. 19.02 oz troy. The estate of a Vanderbilt University professor, Nashville, Tennessee. Condition: Overall excellent condition, small crack and partial loss to finial and some cracking to insulators.
