Our upcoming May 22nd, 2010 auction will include Tennessee and Georgia estates/collections along with items deaccessioned from Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art, Nashville, Tennessee to benefit the acquisitions fund. Historic Tennessee living and deceased estates from the Knoxville, Nashville, and Crossville areas, including Tennessee furniture and decorative arts from the Shirley Reynolds estate of Morristown, a descendant of Thomas Reed of Historic Horseshoe Bend plantation, Grainger County. This auction will offer 600 lots. Below is a small sampling of items. Preview will be on Friday, May 21st, from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM and Saturday, May 22nd, 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM at our Sutherland Avenue gallery or by appointment. There will be uncataloged lots in this sale. Food concessions for the auction will be catered by Ms. Lily’s.
