Case Antiques, Inc. Auctions & Appraisals is proud to be co-sponsoring the annual Alcoa Kiwanis Club Antiques Appraisal Fair with The Daily Times newspaper.
The Appraisal Fair is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 23 at the Maryville First Baptist Church Family Life Center, 202 West Lamar Alexander Parkway, Maryville, TN, 37801. Appraisers will include John Case, President of Case Antiques, Harold Smiddy, of Sequoyah Antiques, Len de Rohan, Research and Cataloging, Case Antiques, John Coleman, of Central Street Books in Knoxville, Civil War and regional antiques expert Malcolm Rogers and antique dealer and appraiser Scott Bishop.
The cost for the appraisal of a first item will be $10, and additional appraisals may be purchased for $5 each. Tickets will be available at the door and may be purchased in advance from Alcoa Kiwanis. The club will also serve chili lunches and drinks at the Fair. All proceeds will be used to support these clubs’ charitable activities, including East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, Special Olympics and other youth activities in Blount County.
This year, antique guns, swords, knives and other weapons will be appraised. Any such weapons must be unloaded and will be checked upon entry. Parking lot appraisals of large items may also be arranged or you can bring photos for the appraisers to review.
