Case iron eagle architectural medallion, featuring a cast relief eagle similar to that on the Great Seal of the United States with a shield on its chest, an olive branch in its left talons, and a bundle of thirteen arrows in its right, dated 1851 or 1881 below the talons with four holes to the perimeter for mounting. 17 1/2" dia. 19th century CONDITION: Overall good condition with later gold paint. Some surface patination, primarily on back of plaque.
