Thonet Bentwood Model #3 Armchair and side chair. 1st item – Thonet Bentwood armchair, Model #3. Comprised of laminated components with joined seat. Overall good condition, 37" H X 21" W X 19-1/4" D. Late 19th Century. Exhibited in 1991 at the Knoxville Museum of Art. Deaccessioned from the Knoxville Museum of Art collections. (Ref. p. 3, Exhibit No. 4, Knoxville Museum of Art exhibition catalog, Oct. 21, 1990 – Jan. 6, 1991 of Thonet Furniture. "Designed and manufactured c. 1855 by Gebruder Thonet, Vienna.) 2nd item – Thonet Bentwood side chair. Overall good condition, slight damage to cane in backrest, 36" H x 16" W x 16-1/2" D. Deaccessioned by Knoxville Museum of Art to benefit the acquisitions fund.
