Large East Tennessee stoneware storage jar with two waves of sine incising on upper shoulder. Unusual domed shape large lug handles. Mort family pottery of Jefferson Co., TN. 16 3/8" H. Third quarter of the 19th century. Condition: Stabilized crack around base with some slight chips to rim and one chip to base.
