Large Cannon County Tennessee split white oak buttocks basket, signed on the base "Mrs. W H Blair" and "W H Blair". Additionally pencil inscribed on the handle "30.00". 20 3/4" H x 21" W x 26" W. Note: W.H. Blair was a basket maker working in Woodbury/Cannon County during the mid 20th century. His awards included Best of Show at the Webb School Festival in 1981 (source: Nashville Tennessean, 16 Oct. 1981). Private Chattanooga, TN collection. Condition: Overall good condition. A couple of loose weavers noted to the inside of one handle and some minor wear and minor losses to handle.
