Group of assorted 19th century American coin silver and sterling items. Includes 1 coin silver soup ladle, 11 1/2 in., monogrammed Clement, no maker’s mark; 3 coin silver tablespoons and 8 coin silver teaspoons from various makers, all Northern, Midwestern or unknown makers, 3 Anthemion pattern teaspoons marked “sterling”, 12 sterling handled dinner knifes with silverplated blades, and 1 French butter knife with engraved silver blade and bone handle. Combined weighable sterling: 1.89 oz. troy. Coin silver: 14.02 oz troy.
PROVENANCE: Estate of Dr. Allen E. Johnson.
CONDITION: Ladle and 3 sterling teaspoons – very good condition. All tablespoons with significant wear, 2 with tears to bowls. Wear and denting to coin silver teaspoons. Wear to knives, especially to blades.
