1st item: Diminutive Continental Baroque style cabinet comprised of mixed woods, having an overhanging plain top above one paneled door opening to reveal one interior shelf, flanked by paneled carving with additional paneled carving to the sides, all resting on bracket feet. 24" H x 28 1/4" W x 14 1/2" D. Italian, Late 19th century/Early 20th century. 2nd item: Continental baroque style carved stool with an embroidered top having velvet covered sides with fringe, above partially reeded and foliate carved tapering legs joined by a shaped and foliate carved stretcher. 18 3/4" H x 19" W x 15" D. Italian, Late 19th/Early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Collection of Griff and Dallas Adams, Johnson City, Tennessee. Property descending from the collection of TN Supreme Court Justice Thaddeus Cox and Pearl Cox, originally housed in "The Oaks", Johnson City, TN.
CONDITION: 1st item: Overall good condition with older surface, light expected general use wear. 2nd item: Base with overall general use wear and losses. Top with light wear, one area of loss to stitching.
