Diminutive Italian Baroque style mixed woods chest of drawers, comprised of an overhanging molded top above one slightly projecting drawer and three molded drawers flanked by carved stiles in the form of tassels, resting on a molded and stepped ogee bracket base. 37" H x 29 3/4" W x 16" D. Late 19th/Early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Collection of Griff and Dallas Adams, Johnson City, Tennessee. Property descending from the collection of TN Supreme Court Justice Thaddeus Cox and Pearl Cox, originally housed in "The Oaks", Johnson City, TN.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with older finish, general expected overall use wear. 17th century and 18th century components assembled late 19th/early 20th century. Brasses are not original. Evidence of earlier brasses visible to centers of each drawer.
