Chester Hewell (Gillsville, Georgia, b.1950) folk art pottery jug with slip decoration to the body including a man holding a gun with dogs, a rabbit, and a turtle along with a figure in a wagon pulled by a donkey with birds overhead. Signed in slip CH to one side, stamped CH on each handle, and also signed “Chester Hewell CSA” to the base. 14 3/4″ H. 20th century.
