1st item: Magnifying glass made from an old (filled) sterling silver parasol handle in a repousse floral design, marked “sterling”. American, possibly originally by S. Kirk & Sons. 13 1/2 in. L. Not monogrammed. 2nd item: Continental Hanau silver trinket box, square with repousse scene of figure on horseback to lid, monogrammed center cartouche to front, and repousse vignettes with horn, shield, and helmet to sides, unattributed hallmarks to underside. 2 in. H x 4 1/2 in. square. 3rd item: Continental Hanau silver open sugar bowl with Rococo style cherub in cartouche decorations and two openwork handles, worn hallmarks to underside, 2 1/4 in. H. 4th item: Dutch silver pastry server with figural ship to handle, the blade with chased harbor scene plus openwork arabesque decoration to tip. Stamped Zilpla 90. All items late 19th to early 20th century. Combined weighable silver: 16.65 oz.
PROVENANCE: Private Nashville collection.
CONDITION: 1st item: small split and old solder marks at juncture of handle and lens. Other items: scattered small dents and scratches, overall very good condition.
