Ansonia "Summer and Winter" figural clock, 8-day time and strike movement with two part signed porcelain dial having Roman numerals and visible escapement. Cast Spelter case with two figures emblematic of Summer and Winter flank the dial above a bronze plaque and faux malachite plinth atop a gilt metal mounted ebonized base. Brass 8-day movement and dial signed Ansonia Clock Co. 22" H x 23" W x 8" D. American, late 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The collection of Peggy and the late Carroll Rosamond, Madison, Mississippi.
CONDITION: Some scattered oxidation and wear to female figures, minute surface wear to bronze plaque, and a few small abrasions to base. Works not checked for functionality or guaranteed.
