Seven (7) English brass items, including bed warmer and chafing dish. 1st item: Iron bed warmer with elaborate pierced and engraved brass lid depicting a coat of arms and inscribed GOD SAVE KING CHARLES. 4" H x 45" L x 12 1/4" dia. 17th century. 2nd item: One (1) chafing or covered warming dish with line decoration and a finial handle. 4 3/8" H x 7 3/4" dia. 18th century. 3rd – 6th item: Set of four (4) thick-walled measuring cups stamped TROY OUNCES and GR to rims with Roman numerals and incised lines. Ranging in size from 1" H x 1 3/8" dia. to 2 1/8" H x 2 5/8" dia. Late 19th century. 7th item: One (1) latched snuff or trinket box in the shape of a book. 7/8" H x 2 1/8" W x 2 1/2" D. Late 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Raymond White, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: 1st item: Some minor dents, wear, oxidation, and three minutes tears to edge of brass lid. 2nd item: Overall good condition with scattered surface scratches and residue to underside. 3rd – 6th items: Scattered scratches to surfaces and denting; wear to stamping along rim. 7th item: Scattered surface scratches, denting, and some loss to metal along hinge of lid.
