Sixteen (16) Mottahedeh Chelsea Bird reproduction plates made after the original English plates in the collection of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, Virginia, with scalloped edges, including eight (8) dessert plates with bird and foliate designs and eight (8) dinner plates with bird, insect, and foliate designs. All with Mottahedah, Vista Alegre, Portugal maker's mark and Williamsburg Restoration trademark to underside. Ranging in size from 8 1/4" to 10 1/4" dia. 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Collection of Dr. Joe Newsom Rawlings, Davisboro, Georgia.
CONDITION: All items in overall good condition with scattered surface grime and minute scattered wear to glaze. 1 dinner plate and 2 dessert plates with minor losses to rim, largest measuring 1 5/8" x 1/4".
