Twenty (20) pieces Royal Crown Derby "Gold Aves" pattern porcelain tea service, having 22 karat yellow gold hand-decorated birds of paradise and peacocks among flora with scalloped rims. Includes: one (1) coffee pot (9" H w/ lid); one (1) tea pot (6 3/4" H w/ lid); one (1) individual tea pot (4 1/4" H w/ lid); one (1) creamer (4 1/4" H); eight (8) footed cups (2 3/8" H); and eight (8) saucers (5 3/4" dia). All items with red Royal Crown Derby stamps to underside of bases. 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Margaret Harold Roberts, Lookout Mountain, Georgia.
CONDITION: All items in overall very good condition with normal surface scratches and some wear/rubbing to decorations. Some tea service items with staining, largest 1 1/4" x 1", primarily to finials, rims, and upper shoulders. Tea pot with pieces of scotch tape, largest 3/4" x 1 3/4", to body (does affect decorations).
