Five (5) Staffordshire porcelain items, including allegorical plaques and dog figures. 1st-3rd items: Three (3) allegorical transferware wall plaques with black, molded borders, and script titles, including one (1) depicting Faith with a woman holding a cross, one (1) depicting Hope with a woman seated before the sea with an anchor at her side, and one (1) depicting Charity with a woman caring for three children. Unmarked. 8 3/8" H x 6 5/8" W. 4th-5th items: Pair (2) Spaniel dog figurines depicting an adult, brown-spotted Spaniel seated on its haunches with a black-spotted Spaniel puppy laying beneath its forepaws all upon a cobalt blue base with parcel gilt line detail. Unmarked. 8 1/4" H x 4 7/8" W x 2 3/4" D. All items English, 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Collection of Dr. Joe Newsom Rawlings, Davisboro, Georgia.
CONDITION: 1st-3rd items: Overall good condition with scattered minute surface wear; two with tape residue, en verso; Faith plaque with loss measuring 2 1/8" x 1/2" to molded frame. 4th-5th items: Overall good condition with scattered crazing throughout.
