1st item: Pillar and Scroll Clock, with eglomise panel depicting President Andrew Jackson's Home, "The Hermitage," and foliate border decoration beneath a painted wood dial having steel hands and flanked by ebonized pillars with gilt stenciled floral design. 30 hour wooden works, original iron weights and brass pendulum. 34" H x 18" W x 4.5" D. Circa 1870 and later. Note: Eglmoise panel is likely an early 20th century replacement. 2nd item: Folk art marquetry inlaid box, chest form with a molded top and slight bracket feet. Lid interior with stenciled foliate decoration and the initials R. W. W. and the interior base lined with printed fabric. 5 3/4" H x 13 1/8" W x 6 3/4" D. American, second half of the 19th century. 3rd item: Miniature Louis Philippe style chest of drawers comprised of an overhanging top above a S-scroll face upper drawer over two drawers with dovetails and glass pulls, flanked by fully turned projecting columns and a flat base. 22 1/2" H x 23 3/4" W x 9 1/2" D. American, second half of the 19th century.
CONDITION: 1st item: Reverse painting on glass of Hermitage likely early 20th century replacement. Some wear, crazing, and staining to dial; some wear to pillars. Back has tape over old shrinkage cracks, and a tin covering allowing access to the works. 1/2" narrow chip to pediment. Key present. Included are business cards noting the works were serviced in 2012 and 1970, but no guarantees are made to current functionality. 2nd item: Losses to left front edge, 3 very slight patches to top. 3rd item: Overall good condition with some staining and scratching to top and dampstaining to base. Glass pulls broken off on 2nd drawer.
