Set of Four (4) George III period mahogany nesting or quartetto tables of graduated sizes, the rectangular tops with satinwood string inlay and crossbanded edges; ring turned legs with pillar and trestle ends joined by rear stretchers and toupie feet. Retain the original iron bracket supports to the underside of the trestles. Ranging in size from 28 3/4" H x 16 1/4" W x 13 1/4" D to 30 1/4" H x 25 1/2" W x 13 1/2" D. English, late 18th/early 19th century. Provenance: Deaccessioned from the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art. CONDITION: Top with scattered light scratching and stains due to general use. Green felt strip added to the center of the undersides of each table to prevent scratching.
