Large Minnie Adkins (Kentucky, born 1934) and Tess Little (Kentucky, 20th century) folk art polychrome decorated pottery jar. Featuring carved decoration of three bears in the woods. Inscribed on the lower body THREE BEARS IN THE WOODS/1999/MINNIE ADKINS & TESS LITTLE. 21 1/2″ H x approx. 14″ W. Note: In the 1990s, Minnie Adkins collaborated with her cousin Tess Little, a sculptor and ceramic artist to produce various ceramics inspired by Adkins’s animal carvings.

CONDITION: Overall very good condition.
