Two (2) Delft tin-glazed earthenware chargers or plates. 1st item: Charger decorated in the Chinese style with a central scene of a bird in a landscape setting surrounded by a wide border with foliate reserves on a green ground, string loop for hanging to underside of base. 12 5/8 diameter. 2nd item: Charger decorated with large floral sprays in a landscape setting with a floral border on a white ground. Iron red maker's marks and wire for hanging on underside. 13 1/2" dia. Both 18th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Raymond White, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with firing flaws, areas of loss, largest 2 1/4", fleabites, largest 1/2", to rim edges. Floral charger with overall crazing.
