Pair creamware baskets with underplates, possibly Leeds. The baskets of oval form with scalloped edges and polychome green and yellow geometric borders over open basketweave sides and two side handles, the underplates with reticulated edges and a matching green and yellow decorated band. 3"H x 9"W x 6"D (including underplates). English, circa 1800. Provenance: the estate of Margaret Wemyss Connor, Nashville, Tennessee. Condition: One with repair to interior bottom, both with light crazing to bottoms and some edge wear to paint, overall good condition.
