Coin Silver Water Pitcher marked for Frederick Marquand, (working Savannah, Georgia 1819-1826 and New York City 1826-1839). Tall pitcher with a flared and gadrooned rim and spout, and a foliate repousse band below the neck and at the top and bottom of the base. Hollow C scroll handle with rosette at upper terminus. Marked FM in rectangle with Leopard head, lion passant and bust pseudo hallmarks. Engraved FW to AMW 1827 to center, below spout. 12" H. 28.82 oz troy.
PROVENANCE: The estate of Judge John Nixon, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: 1" dent to one side, otherwise very good condition.
