A fine American Classical rosewood center table, white marble dish top, well carved foliate pedestal on a gadrooned circular plinth base with 3 finely carved paw feet. 27 1/2"h x 41 1/2" dia. American, circa 1845. Provenance: estate of A. Welling LaGrone Jr., Nashville, Tenn. Illustrated, Art & Antiques article on LaGrone home, Jan. 1999. Condition: Overall very good condition. Minor cracking in some veneer, marble top overall excellent condition with small edge chip glued.
