1st item: Japanese Imari porcelain charger having central blue and white foliate medallion; alternating vignettes of figural landscape and foliate, bird, and insect design; and concentric blue circles, birds, and flowering sakura or cherry blossom branches to underside. 18 5/8" dia. Meiji period. 2nd item: Kutani footed center bowl with polychrome enamel and parcel gilt "Thousand Scholars" decoration, the body depicting several rows of elderly men in robes against a gold ground surrounded by decorative borders, a landscape scene flowering bush and birds to the interior. Three red character marks to underside of base. 5 1/2" H x 11 3/4" dia. 19th century. 3rd item: Satsuma bottle form vase with polychrome enamel and parcel gilt decorations and dragon mask handles, having vignettes of boys playing to elongated neck and a tapered rim, warriors in fighting stance in landscape settings to body, surrounded by raised foliate and geometric decorations. Unmarked. 16 5/8" H x 5" dia. 19th century.

CONDITION: 1st item: Overall very good condition. 2nd item: Scattered minor firing flaws. Areas of loss to polychrome and gilt, including to scholar's faces. 3rd item: Scattered minor firing flaws. Five old tight hairlines, largest 2 1/2", extending from rim to neck. Overall crazing.
