Gevorg Yeghiaziarian (Armenia, b. 1963) Surrealist style oil on canvas/collage titled "The Story of the Mermaid's We" depicting a large, pale pink and yellow fish with humanoid face and hands folded at its belly, resting upon a long table with green tablecloth and martini glass. Signed "Gevorg" lower right. Additional pastel nude portrait of a woman with long pale hair, en verso of backing inscribed "To Carmon [or Cazmen]" upper left, and signed and dated "Gevorg 17.10.03" lower right. Two printed Wentworth Gallery labels, en verso of backing. Housed in a molded giltwood frame with canvas liner. Sight: 16 3/8" H x 38 1/2" W. Framed: 27 3/8" H x 49 1/4" W.
CONDITION: Minute surface grime, otherwise in overall very good condition. Canvas liner with scattered minor areas of discoloration.
