1st-18th items: Eighteen (18) associated porcelain items with turquoise and gilt enameled rims, including nine (9) armorial dinner plates, each having a central polychrome and gilt coat of arms decoration above the motto "PERSEVERE"; and a nine (9) piece dessert service, including one (1) compote, two (2) tazzas, and six (6) dessert plates, each having a central turquoise enamel and gilt monogram "RDR". All items with impressed Royal Worcester stamps to underside of bases. Three (3) armorial plates with Phillips, London retailer stamps to underside of bases. Plates ranging in size from 9 1/4" to 10" dia. Tazzas: 2 1/4" H x 9 1/2" dia. Compote: 4 1/2" H x 9 1/2" dia. 19th item: English Jasperware oval porcelain lidded trinket box with white slip acanthus leaves and Greek key designs applied in relief on a moss green ground. Gilding to lower rim, two rings at sides, the rim of lid, and finial handle. 5 1/2" H x 5 1/4" W x 3 5/8" D. All items English, most late 19th century (one dessert plate with a later 20th century mark).
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Raymond White, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Turquoise rimmed dinnerware: All items in overall good condition with expected losses to gilt and enamel, crazing, scattered firing flaws. Compote with repaired breaks to base. Six plates and one tazza with hairlines, largest 10". Some Royal Worcester stamps area faint, difficult to see. Jasperware box: Overall good condition with minute surface grime, some losses to gilt, and minor flaws in the making. Gilt remnants of mark to underside.
