Blanche Hamilton (American, b. 1880) oil on canvas landscape painting depicting a park or garden. The red and pink flowers are rendered in a thick impasto, creating a sense of dimension and contrast against the trees and hedges in the background. Signed upper right corner “Blanche Hamilton” and housed in a giltwood frame with carved corner ornamentations. Sight – 15 1/2″ H x 11 1/2″ W. Frame – 23″ H x 19″ W.
PROVENANCE: Estate of Judge John Nixon, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition, recently cleaned. Tiny puncture center right, near the tree trunk. Some minor wear to the frame
