Log Cabin pattern hand-pieced and hand-quilted quilt in the Pineapple layout composed of all cotton fabrics including double green, double pink, navy blue and white, robe, and shirting printed fabrics and Turkey Red solid centers and blocks. Heavily quilted with red cotton thread creating foliate medallion designs to solid blocks and straight parallel lines to pieced blocks throughout, to a loosely woven off-white cotton backing, back to front bound, with medium-weight cotton batting. 78" H x 65" W. Possibly Southern, circa 1900-1910.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Peggy Lambert, Maryville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Some weakened fabrics, very slight spotting, slight fading in some areas, top otherwise in overall very good condition. Backing with scattered staining, especially along fold lines.
