Two (2) Tennessee landscapes and two (2) expressionist paintings by Robert Young Clay (Tennessee / Virginia, 1936-2010), all watercolor on paper, ranging in size from 6 1/2 in. x 5 1/2 in. to 10 In. x 7 in. Unframed. Biography: Robert Young Clay was born in Dixon Springs, Tennessee, and studied painting at the University of Tennessee under Kermit Ewing and Walter Stephens. He lived the last 35 years of his life in Richmond Virginia. Most of his works were based on memories of landscapes in Tennessee.
PROVENANCE: By descent in the family of the artist.
CONDITION: Very good condition. Three of the paintings have taped edges en verso.
