Mark Catesby (United Kingdom, 1683-1749) copper plate engraving with hand coloring on laid paper from THE NATURAL HISTORY OF CAROLINA, FLORIDA, AND THE BAHAMA ISLANDS, London, Vol. 1, 1741-1743 (1731-1771) depicting Plate 33. "The Large Lark" Inscribed "Alauda Magna, Ornithogalum luteum &c." Housed and matted under glass in a simple wood frame. Plate: 14" H x 10" W. Framed: 22" H x 18 1/2" W.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with light toning in the upper margin, and some minor creasing to the edges and corners. Not examined outside of frame.
