Antique beaded handbag, Persian medallion style pattern, with interior label "Made in Germany", 2 broken fringe loops, lining detached and in poor condition. 12" x 9 1/2". Together with several other textiles, including a partially worked pattern for another purse and 5 vials of beads; an embroidered and beaded pocketbook (grime, several missing beads, frayed silk lining); three lengths of beaded ribbons (partially unfinished, some tears and losses); and a round embroidered doily (some light stains). Provenance: originally belonged to Reinette Warmoth (1882-1956), daughter of Louisiana Governor Henry Clay Warmoth (H. C. Warmoth, governor from 1868-1872 and owner of Magnolia Plantation).
