"CASCADE" DISTILLERY, HAND MADE SOUR MASH TENNESSEE WHISKEY" and white slip and cobalt lines around the upper shoulder and base. 13" H. Last qtr. 19th century. 2nd item: J. Cooney & Co. stoneware advertising jug, 1 gallon capacity having a Bristol glaze with cobalt stenciled letters reading "J. COONEY & CO., Wholesale Liquors. NASHVILLE, – TENN." and white slip and cobalt lines around the upper shoulder and base. 9" H. Late 19th century. CONDITION: 1st item: Hairline crack approx. 3" to neck. One chip to the shoulder and one small glaze void to upper body. 2nd item: Chip to inner rim and slight chipping to shoulder.
