1st item: Small illuminated manuscript leaf with gilt Latin text and floral designs. Housed in a custom wood frame with a mat and gilt inner edge. Sight: 3 1/4" H x 2 1/2" W. Framed: 11" H x 9 1/4" W. 17th Century. 2nd item: Contemporary Russian Christian icon of Saint Michael the Archangel on wood panel with gilt painted and incised decoration. Housed in a custom gilt framed shadowbox under UV protective glass. Sight: 7 1/2" H x 5 1/2" W. Framed: 13 1/2" H 11 1/2" W x 2" D. Late 20th Century.
PROVENANCE: Private Nashville, Tennessee estate.
CONDITION: 1st item: With some buckling. 2nd item: In good condition with paint loss to angel's face and wear to corners.
